This module provides a comprehensive orientation for new officers joining the Department of Water and Natural Resources (DoWR). It begins with an introduction to the structure, mandate, and key functions of DoWR, helping officers understand the department’s role in managing Vanuatu’s water and natural resources.

The module also introduces officers to the Public Service Commission (PSC), under which they are employed. It outlines the PSC’s role in the public sector, the rights and responsibilities of public servants, and the ethical standards and expectations required of government officers.

Completion of this module is mandatory for all new officers to ensure they are well-informed about both their department and their obligations as members of the Vanuatu Public Service.
